Stabila 360 degree vial markings (81SV REM W360)

Well, in her answer she suggested "Rohre" which literally means pipe or tube. But yes same same ofcourse :) I'll definitely remember the ladder thing though!

Stabila 360 degree vial markings (81SV REM W360)

Hey! Thank you for the replies! Great guesses and I didn't know about the ladders. I finally contacted Stabila Germany and very quickly got a response from them: Loosely translated: R and L are special angles, used by the oil industry for ladders and pipes. Normal construction works don't...

Stabila 360 degree vial markings (81SV REM W360)

Hey! I've been using this little 81SV torpedo level for a while now and like it. It's got a rotating vial that you can use as a protractor: There are 'special' markings for 45 and 22.5 degrees which make a lot of sense but there are also two special markings that intrigue me. At 55 degrees...

Elora wrenches - share yours and advice me on straightening one of mine

I've gotten quite a few elora wrenches from my uncle, who is hard on his tools and generally doesn't care. They're still very serviceable, which must mean they're decent quality. If my uncle owned the aforementioned crown jewels of England, he would probably store them in a bucket full of...

    Label makers

You can achieve the same with the handheld ones. Just try out the different cut options and create multiple 'pages' on the screen (either with a empty database or with the serialize option)

    Label makers

I recently bought a Brother Ptouch E550w (secondhand) and like it, it's extremely versatile and can be connected to smartphone (gimmick, but has its use, since you can download up-to-date template labels, there's a whole section on covid warning labels :) or a PC with the ability to connect to...

100 years of YORK (York History)

That one looks really good! I didn't find any additional markings on mine.. It would be cool to date it somehow.

100 years of YORK (York History)

Model 100. Paid € 25 for it. Since these pictures were taken it's gotten a cleanup and paintjob naturally :)

    Tools from the old world

Since there are quite a few Europeans looking at this thread, thought I ask here. As I find myself doing more and more little plumbing jobs, I was looking at getting one of these: Ridgid EZ Change Faucet Tool However, getting them to Belgium is over € 45, which I think is a little steep for...

    Tools from the old world

Buying crimp tools from Gedore is oddly enough usually significantly cheaper than from other brands or even the OEM. Here at least.. That gedore 8157, had me thinking. Is there a reason for two dimples on the uninsulated terminals, instead of one? I think I read it here somewhere, but can't...

T-E connectivity (AMP, Tyco) PIDG assortment kit

Hmm too bad. Any idea why this is so?

T-E connectivity (AMP, Tyco) PIDG assortment kit

Hey! I've been on the lookout for a good source for AMP PIDG terminals (not the plastigrips), but it seems the only option is to buy them seperately? The only kits i've seen contain other terminals too and some crimptool. Insanely priced too. Anyone knows of a reasonable selection? Thanks

Pressmaster Mobile Crimp Tool + Dies (Wiha 43190)

Interesting that there are only 2 positions on that crimper. What's the compliance marking then on a red or blue terminal? Have used Knipex, Klauke and unknown noname terminals, all with good results. You do have to get a bit of a feel for it and test crimp a few. It's not as easy as crimpers...

    Tools from the old world

My crimping pliers collection :) Although I now realize I have some more, not pictured. Aside from the USA AMP pliers and the unknown heavy indent crimper, all European made. Pressmaster, Knipex, Facom, Weidmuller, Espa, Gedore, Klauke, Crimpex (=pressmaster?).

    Tools from the old world

I bought a parkside soldering iron in an emergency soldering situation :p Terrible.. Takes 2mins to heat up and can't keep up the heat with even the smallest joints. I imagine the tip will wear out very quickly too, but I haven't used it for more than 5 min..

login: c3687625 password: password These logins typically don't last long, but it works for now. It doesn't have a small engine repair section though :( Americans are lucky with the amount of information available on makes and models in North America. Here in Europe a collection of data worth...

    My First Knipex

I've got the proxxon wrenches too, together with a few socket sets. They're very cheap over here and good quality. Not made in germany though, if that's of any interest.

    Anyone heard of Jonard tools?

Knipex and Jonard seem to be rebranding the same manufacturer for a couple of products: https://www.jonard.com/Products/Satellite-Tool-Kits-Compression-and-Crimping-Tools-CT-200-Universal-Compression-Tool http://www.knipex.de/index.php?id=1216&L=0&page=group_detail&parentID=1299&groupID=2223...

    Best long 0' Offset Spanners

Ultimate Handyman's from England and recommends these bergens: I don't own them myself, but the guy's not a full-on tool reviewer and the few things he has recommended in the past that I bought have been really good.
