    StreetThisEVO's - 34' x 26' Garage Update Project

It worked well. I bought it from Harbor Freight for $6.** with my 20% off coupon. It is rated at 39 lbs. and my 10' aluminum ladder came in at just about 26 lbs. To be safe I threw two zipties around each mounting clamp to ensure it didn't slide. I barely use this ladder (maybe 2-3 times a...

Update 1/2/2016 I had a few days off and was able to get a few more things done out in the old garage. First up was my 4' x 8' electric storage lift. I use this to store all of my yard care equipment. I have probably 500 lbs. in this and the lift works great! Next up was to hang the...

 It is a pretty amazing car. I wish they still sold the same thing new today. The EVO X just doesn't do it for me.

I was in the same boat. But I still feel LED's are too expensive. From what I've read the T8's were the best bang for the buck for say.

12/3/2015 The new lights are awesome! The pictures aren't the best, but you get the idea. It is very bright and has good coverage. Each bulb is rated @ 2750 lumens x 28 bulbs = 77,000 lumens total. I went with a 6500k color temp. I was a little hesitant at first. But after seeing them up...

Once that is done you are on the home stretch! I still need to build work benches and storage for everything. Getting the majority of it done before the snow started to fall was the goal. I look forward to actually working on my race car and other projects again

11/22/2015 Mudding and tapping are finally done. Painting is also complete. Needless to say I'm sore.... With the holiday weekend approaching I don't think I'll get a lot done. I hope to re-mount my heaters and to re-connect all of the electrical receptacles this week. After that I need to...

All new wiring & insulation are installed. I used 12/2 throughout the entire space & 8/2 for my 220 Volt welder. In total there is around 650' of 12/2 and about 80' of 8/2. I put a lot of thought into where to place everything. The ceiling will have (7) 8' - 4 bulb T8 fixtures, (2)...

8/2015 - Present I took a few months off to concentrate on racing. But with winter coming soon, I needed to get this project going again. Now the real fun begins! The existing space was partially dry walled but had no insulation. I choose to tear it all out and to gut the electric...

12/2014 - 1/2015 Got my (2) Mr. Heater (Part # MH25NG) natural gas heaters up and running. Although the space wasn't insulated yet, these helped me get through the cold winter months. They are rated @ 25k BTU each. They worked great and do not require venting. Not to mention they are 99%...

    StreetThisEVO's - 34' x 26' Garage Update Project

My house was equipped with a ugly bomb shelter. In order for me to gain access to run new gas, electric, etc.. to the garage I had no choose but to remove it all. We estimate that there was a total of 8,000 lbs. of concrete block. Plus a very well built wooden internal structure. A dumpster...
