    It has 14 stripes

Who cares? It's not a flag - by definition, so "flag etiquette" does not even come into play. :rolleyes2 If someone rolls that goofy looking thing past me, as Veteran, out of respect, should I salute? Besides, anyone else look around lately? The "stars and stipes" are plastered in one form or...

Things worth knowing about each power tool brand and their ecosystems

No, never even seen them in real life. used to attend countless estate auctions, almost never seen high end brand tools, even with some that seemed to be committed woodworkers. I have 19.2v Cman. First were early Nicad. Ex wife gave me some newer Lion sets, gave the old one away nearly new...

Things worth knowing about each power tool brand and their ecosystems

"if you're poor, buy Bauer, If you're rich, buy Hercules" That's my advice. :rolleyes2 I've never latched on the the obsession with minimizing "cordless battery platforms", unless I lived in a camper. Seriously, I have a half dozen+ "ecosystems", (Up to yard tools) plus some abandoned over...

PSA - Actron products and all product support discontinued

Thanks, OP. Even if his problems was not resolved, :( this thread served as a PSA (to me anyway) about diagnostic system updates. I have the Zurich ZR15S (made by Innova) HF no longer sells the "brand" but luckily still has access to firmware and database updates, presumably from Innova. I...

PSA - Actron products and all product support discontinued

When they “update” scanner firmware do they ever change the functionality or just add the ODBII criteria for newer vehicles? :dunno: Never really worried since I seem to upgrade scanners more that vehicles.

PSA - Actron products and all product support discontinued

Are they offering any similar competing automotive diag product(s) currently? :dunno: Maybe ****-canning everything Actron, helps coax users to a new platform. They are a Corporation, after all.

PSA - Actron products and all product support discontinued

Maybe the software was only tested up through Windows 95.

PSA - Actron products and all product support discontinued

How much did they want to charge for it? Edit: read the OP again where they don’t want to release that at all Going out on a limb here, but usually when somebody discontinued support for a product that discontinued everything. Could possibly even be legal reason for them to do so. Since they...

PSA - Actron products and all product support discontinued

You're now worried about upgrades? Is there any reason to do so? :dunno: Scanners are available literally by the truckload from everywhere, that might have 10x the capability for maybe less money IMO, Bosch seems almost irrelevant compared to lower cost similar quality products...

His and Hers Tools - Wedding Gift Ideas?

What did the fiancé say when you asked her? She is 1/2 of the equation. Maybe she wants a hammer drill :dunno: If it’s not on their bridal registry, I just give them money

    Sewer Snake

How old is the house? If it is old enough to have clay tile drain lines is can easily have root intrusion. it can have a broken tile as well.

    Sewer Snake

"Steel band snakes" **** Rent one with a root cutting blade if there are trees in the are of the line. We had roots cut out professionally but the line was only about 6' long so I probably could have done it myself. How long is the line to where they think it goes? It great it at least...

Questions on using concrete bonding agent

I've used glue and not used it. Didn't seem to make any difference if the surface was clean. Ever spill dry cement on a dry concrete floor? Good luck scraping it off the next day. Concrete knows how to bond.

    Ikon ratchets lack QR feature

Not too hard to believe if there was actually a market for it, they would offer some. :headscrat Personally, I don’t never remember using one in my life, other than that craftsman quarter inch

How hard is it to sharpen drill bits freehand on a diamond stone or do you need a drill doctor?

I don’t need a drill doctor, but it does a better job

Walmart Getting Serious About Tools in 2026?

I don’t go to Lowe’s often but when I do, it seems like they have the same dust covered piles of craftsman tools. They had there the last time. Walmart is a discount retailer and I’m hard-pressed tell a company that has 550 billion a year revenue. They don’t know what they’re doing. Besides...

Walmart Getting Serious About Tools in 2026?

It would probably be the most shoplifted brand unless, of course they locked everything up

Milwaukee denies warranty claim because "tool split in half"

That would be news to me for someone to file a warranty claim on an item not fully expecting it to be repaired replaced under warranty. do you know of anyone who would expect something different? No one abuses a tool that would get a warranty denied. Just ask them.
