My Snapon gas grill auction ending soon!

I had to give the winning bidder a chance. He came through in fine fashion. Turned out he was a new member to ebay and had an experienced friend guiding him through the process. The payment was made in full via paypal and he will be picking up the grill next week. Not too bad I guess...

My Snapon gas grill auction ending soon!

Gotta purchase an Epiq tool box from the snappy dealer for a limited time only. The one I got list at $10,600 for the 68" without the stainless top. The grill is built by brinkmann out of Canada I believe. They are a pretty big manufacturer of grills from what I hear.

My Snapon gas grill auction ending soon!

Part of me wanted to keep it but there is no way I would ever need a grill this size and I could use the cash to make a lump payment on the box and cut the interest down.

    Snap-on F831 pulls in $66.00

I recently seen a used Snap on TSLF936, the 1/4" flex head speed ratchet, sell for over $170 on ebay. Brand new it's only $83.50. Could be because it's no longer available on the web site yet many dealers have them.

Yes, thank you, the flattened end of the jet screw would be a perfect use.

Plugging my ending Snap on E-bay auctions

I want to complete the 169-TM-B set that you asked if I was willing to sell the other night. It has some very interesting parts like the radio installation sockets mentioned above. These must have been very important at the time to offer them in sets yet most people now could not even tell you...

Plugging my ending Snap on E-bay auctions

It's like a small deep well socket but the (breech or bore) has 2 flat sides and the outsides are half moon. It could be described as a 2pt socket.

Plugging my ending Snap on E-bay auctions

Yes I remember Wrencher, but I was trying to build a couple bigger sets at that time. The hardest parts for me to find seem to be the TMC-42 sockets. I think these were for old radio installation on some cars...and the TM-27 sockets...I know these were used for housing (aluminum siding screws)...

Plugging my ending Snap on E-bay auctions

Some here hate it when I do this but it is not against the forum rules and I do this because others here may be interested...if you dont like it, ignorance is bliss. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270331833038&sspagename=STRK%3AMESELX%3AIT&viewitem=...

    Interesting ? Old? Sockets....

About why they are not rusted...I'm no expert and I would bet others here would know more about that than me. It is interesting though how even some newer tools will rust while older ones just get a discoloration. I think the alloys used in manufacturing must have not been prone to rust and I...

    surface rust?

I guess the bigger question is in how we would define "original". I recently purchased several brand new 80 tooth ratchets from my dealer. 2 had date codes 2007 and 2 were 2008. All were purchased at the same time. I have a set of 3/8 drive semi deep SO sockets. The set was purchased as...

    surface rust?

Forgot to bring home the box from the original auction from work. I turned around, went back and got it. Ready to take the pics Krusty requested and the camera batteries are dead. A trip to Walmart took care of that (after reminding the kids to tell me when they take the last AA). So here it...

    surface rust?

Kinda yeah...some of the parts are the same...so what? I am keeping what I want (for now) and auctioning what I don't. There is nothing false about the auction, there is nothing hidden. It is as it is and I would never deceive {speel cheke} anyone. I offer a money back guarantee...try it...

    surface rust?

Settle down...the red one in the auction is orignal paint and I'm willing to bet $ it is. The metal case is NOT the same one I had previously had for auction. I have many vintage snap on tins and I try to gather the most original parts I can and assemble them, show them off to my friends at...

    surface rust?

There is no denial of restoration. I welcome questions and answer honestly and have been asked that question by several bidders. The rust IS surface rust and that's all. Thank you for all the attention and traffic you are directing to my auctions by complianing about them here. I will be...

    surface rust?

Well, the reverser lever is broken off and the gear spins freely. The rust is clearly visible in the picture and stated so. 2 phillips screws hold it together but they are rounded out. It can't be too badly rusted inside because it spins freely. It clearly states that it does not work. I...
