There was some plastic on the tip when I got it.. Maybe it "was" a special tip made for plastic welding.. thanks guys.. I thought it was hot when they put it into the crate and maybe the plastic melted onto the tip.. but it all makes sense now..

I keep dupilcates.. Cos i frequent flee markets & second hand stores & just buy up whatever i can for cheap.. i pack ed both my roadbox & my big box with almost the same setup.. (main box obviously bigger) but i put all the really good stuff away in a seperate section for those ''just in case''...

Can we all get back to the topic now? If you use a wrench to check the ratchet out then it will be the fastest method.. It will either have 1/2" ie. 12mm head, or a 3/8" ie. 9mm head or a 1/4" ie. 6mm. Determining that can also be done with a vernier..

I don't have any of their pliers, but recently found a vise grip at s pawn shop for R20 / $1.50.. Very old and used, but still working solidly.. Also got a Petersons Vise Grips.. R30 / R2

I buy mainly Gedore and Stahlwille.. but i buy second hand only and i am based in RSA.. so my choices are either China or German.. we do have Snap On stockists but.. big BUT.. the prices are hefty my pal.. I like Gedore.. but that is just my choice.. not one that i force others to follow..
