    Harbor Freight Coupon Thread

Is there anything pretty decent that is still valid with the 20-25% off coupon? Seems like it's only good for little $2-5 items Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

    New metal garage plan

Electrical is done myself. 60amp service. Not really anything to complain about. My trusses are 4ft centered instead of 5ft. (Pretty happy about that) Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

Mouting shelves, etc. to this style metal framing

I'll eventually be doing another shelf on the opposite side of my garage once I acquire some more threaded rod and angle iron. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

    New metal garage plan

I had mine built by Superior metal structures and concrete. For the budget that I had it's as good as I can get I'm in the Rocky Mount, NC area Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

Mouting shelves, etc. to this style metal framing

I've been pleased with what I have. (24x31x8) so space is limited with all my projects. The trusses are an educated guess, but it's stronger than you think. It will hold all the wood and other **** I throw up there. It even holds me while I was wiring my barn light for the outside. I've even...

Mouting shelves, etc. to this style metal framing

I used threaded rod mounted on the trusses and hung some angle iron. I use it for extra 2x4s and 2x6s and my wife's growing Christmas totes. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

Questions on getting power and water to the shop

I'm currently running 2in PVC conduit for power, PEX for water, and 3/4 for my coax and cat6 cable. Instead of running through the concrete slab, can't you just run the conduit out the ground and put a LB on the side of the building? Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

    24x31 shop build.

Finally, I have ran electricity to the garage! I even installed some lights today. (Freebies) Excuse the terrible mess. It looks so much better now I have POWER! I have to finish wiring receptacles and get my coax and Ethernet ran so I'll have cable and WiFi. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

Job Site boxes repurposed for home/garage use?

You can use them for special/misc tools with the plastic hard cases. Store misc car parts or items that you don't want to see on your shelves Aerosol can storage. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

Are mac impact wrenches any good

You're lucky, 3/4 gun was mandatory to own where I was but the 1 inch gun was the shop tool (BUT you had to own your own 1 inch sockets) It was annoying. To the OP I will only go IR for 3/4 or 1 inch pneumatic. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

Tools found in the street - Post them up!

I find wrenches, sockets, pry bars, ratchet straps on the side of the road a few times a year. I once find a whole metric and sae Allen wrenches set in a broken plastic case in the middle of the road. I almost ran over a large dead blow sledgehammer in the middle of the highway by the time I...

Harbor Freight Hercules Drill and Impact

Yes gentlemen, I have been able to break lug nuts with it while using my 1/2 in adapter. I tried it for shits and giggles. I've tried it on a few vehicles (even one that's been sitting for 2 years) and also my 2 trailers. I've had mine for a month but I've been using it everyday doing...

Harbor Freight Hercules Drill and Impact

I have the Hercules impact driver. I personally like the impact and it's held quite well so far. The impact has no problem breaking loose lug nuts and bolts. The 2.5ah battery seems okay. I'm going to buy a 5.0ah battery next time I go. And I might get the drill as well Sent from my Pixel XL...

    24x31 shop build.

I forgot that I also hung a shelf above my roll up doors with some angle iron and threaded rod from a job site so I can store various 2x4s and 2x6s along with my wife's growing Christmas collection. (she just started) Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
