    Scissor truss question

Because its against code in most places creating a failure hinge. This explains why https://mitek-us.com/wp-content/uploads/uploadedFiles/_RedesignSite/Content/documents/engineering/tech-articles/design-tips/Gable%20End%20Hinge.pdf

    ATV Recommendation

I think either a 300-400cc honda or yamaha would do nicely. Don't go too big. My wife inherited a 750 kawasaki brute force and hate it as do I hate the the larger 500cc+ polaris 4x4 work models. Too top heavy, hard to steer over a long day, and too damn much maintenance of the carbs buried in...

    LED bulb replacement

The only place that LED lights should affect is mechanical flasher units on turn signals. More I think about it you may have a poor shared ground at the tail light and messing with the socket causes the ground and therefore the light to fail. Removing the bulb or changing the bulb should not...

    Tekton tin snips

I don’t know what transpired between Wilde and tekton to end that relationship on the hard handle screwdrivers and larger prybars. What ever the reason with Ideal closing western forge, the other large quality American contract screwdriver maker, and Pratt reed a large step down in quality...

    Tekton tin snips

Yes they are, they have stated exactly that. I have never heard them deny that other companies made almost all those products you just listed. I don't know why you keep moving the target? But they still make the angle head wrenches, crows feet, and service wrenches, which is more than "one...

    Tekton tin snips

I am not arguing opinion. I am pointing out lies/untruths that have been stated. Its very obvious from past threads and even this one that @liliysdad despises tekton because the contract for who was making their USA hard handles ended and now witte makes them. I really don't get the level of...

    Tekton tin snips

LOL. Love it, you cant be bothered to watch  The first video at the end literally says that "we make them here in Grand Rapids Michigan" They videos show them laser cutting and machining in a rather small building. CNC has made lower volume products cheaper to produce, mainly in...

    Tekton tin snips

Tekton Manufacting Center 424 36th St SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49548 https://maps.app.goo.gl/R8imGyhTjcRrNFCf8 Service wrenches, Angle head/hydraulic line wrenches crowfeet I "think" the hard handle small prybars are made there as well.

    Tekton tin snips

They were a tool rebranding reseller from the beginning. They didn't make anything at first. They ponied up the money and started making their own tools, and continue to make their own tools. They are adding to their line up as well? I don't get where you get that they stopped producing...

    Best miter saw stand

Friend of mine that does high end finish carpentry and hardwood trim loves his Bora porta cube cart for his miter saw, especially how well it work back in the shop. He still has a makita miter saw and stand if he does a lot up stairs on a job because the bora and Bosch glide is not something...

Funny 1 star Amazon tool reviews

The term wire rope is used commonly in heavy equipment such as dozer winches, cranes, and bridles. With over head bridge cranes, wire rope does the lifting, cable sends the signals from the pendant to control the crane.

Protective shield for AC line set

The easiest is probably going to be Airex covers and might be enough for what you want. https://s3.amazonaws.com/s3.supplyhouse.com/product_files/Airex-72E-B-Brochure.pdf https://www.supplyhouse.com/Airex-Line-Set-Covers-33960000 More expensive but substantial...

    Discrete device generator lockout/disconnect.

Right now they just use an extension cord and unplug/plug in what they need at that moment so it wouldn't be much different? I doubt that their portable generator would run multiple things as once anywho. Its an old farm house, for all I know its a fuse panel still? She called me as someone...

Help me get this bandsaw running

You say the red is the ground at the plug, and then it appears at the box that red goes to one of the fuse inputs? The fuses on 3 phase are all hot, L1, L2, and L3. And for the love of god, please use the correct SOOW cable instead of BX/MX or whatever that its as a cord to the plug.

    Discrete device generator lockout/disconnect.

I guess color coding would be fine as well. I didn't look at the old farm houses panel if an interlock was even possible. I sort of described how it worked and you could tell she didn't understand. I was more just trying to find her less expensive options to talk to an electrician. Options...

    Discrete device generator lockout/disconnect.

Damn, I was searching with the wrong terms. That is what I was looking for and even handles the plug in a way that is better than I envisioned. Thank you I am very familiar with interlocks, they still require significant time and at least some intelligence of home electricity to shed the...

    Discrete device generator lockout/disconnect.

Does anyone make a discrete generator lockout/disconnect box? If you loose power you can plug a portable generator into the box or next to the AC disconnect box and run a mini split and the switched disconnect will only accept power from the generator if its disconnected from the mains breaker...
