Has anyone ever had to cut titanium tubing? I just installed a Mines exhaust system that is made of 3.5" titanium on a Nissan GT-R and now the customer doesn't like the tips. He wants me to cut the originals off and clamp on a different style. Will a chain style tubing cutter work?

I've done more of these jobs than I can count on both hands and it's not necessary to use the tools, although they definitely make it a bit easier. If you're not going to be doing this on a regular basis, don't buy the tools. Charge anywhere between 8-10 hours labor depending on your labor rate.

That doesn't make much sense. If the TC was staying locked up the engine would stall as soon as you put the transmission in reverse or drive. Disabling the TC circuit is probably quite impossible or at the very least difficult anyway.

If that's the case then a fault should be detected and a DTC should be stored since there is no physical input from the accelerator pedal position sensors. It would be impossible for the software to be at fault. More likely a bad accelerator pedal or an electrical fault in the ECM.
