For German pliers I use Witte and NWS. Same sort of quality as Knipex only less expensive in Australia. Otherwise Chanellock or Klien.

I only have two HF ratchets a dual 3/8 & 1/4" and a 1/2" composite and both of them are fine. No complaints so far but they were made in Taiwan.
