Here's another one, what's your favorite 1/4 ratchet?

For a long time, my favorite was my Snap On TLLF72, extra long handled flex head. But a few weeks ago I bought the gear wrench, 81034, extra long handle ratchet. It's the smoothest ratchet I have ever used. It hasn't skipped a beat, or a tooth, yet on me. I will be buying the stubby next. But my...

New US General six drawer roll cart?

The side shelf isn't listed for this cart. It's the 5 drawer shelf. I was able to drill 4 holes in the shelf mounting bracket and use M8x1.25x30 flange bolts to mount it. It's a perfect fit and I bet HF re-releases this shelf with those holes for this cart.

New US General six drawer roll cart?

The 5 drawer, which I own and love, is really only a 3 1/2 drawer cart. The 3 half width drawers make that number seem more comparable than it is. Also that storage volume includes the largely useless (for me) area below the drawers. This cart probably has double the drawer volume of the 5...

New US General six drawer roll cart?

I did some measuring today, and the side tray from a 5 drawer cart will fit on the side. I will probably buy a matching one and redrill the tray mount to fit the other set of handle holes. Having the threaded inserts already installed will make it very easy. Honestly I'd suggest that Harbor...

New US General six drawer roll cart?

Someone on FB was debating with me that it should be an Icon cart for the price. But the cheapest Icon box costs double what this does.

How many pliers do I need?

You need at minimum 3 more pairs. Small flush cutters, 7" pliers wrench, and 10" or 12" pliers wrench. You will never find all the possible uses for knipex pliers wrenches.

New US General six drawer roll cart?

I'm hoping that I can possibly remove 1 or 2 of the 4 inch drawers and swap in 1 extra by building shallow drawers. For my use I need more square inches of drawer space. Cubic inches of volume is less important. Then I might swap the 7 inch bottom drawer for the two I remove.

New US General six drawer roll cart?

It's not the same latch system as the 4/5 drawer carts. It's setup just like the Snap On. This thing is so close I bet they get sued.

New US General six drawer roll cart?

Yup. I put it there too. Some people need a roll cart style box. I delayed buying a roll cart for several months while I looked for a good deal. Used Snap Ons go for about a grand here. My Snap On guy offered me a new one for $1300 during covid, but I couldn't afford it then. A new box for the...

New US General six drawer roll cart?

I was able to buy the new box on Friday and I'm impressed with it. Its a solid copy of the snap on krsc326. Its probably the nicest box HF has offered. I will make a thread about it tomorrow.

Broken and stuck socket adapter inside impact driver

When I worked in tool repair, this was my go to method. Occasionally, I still had to tear it all down and put the end in a vise with the retaining mechanism removed, and tap it with a punch. I usually was able to get em out while the customer waited.

Does anyone make Large socket organizers?

I'm Going through a similar ordeal with needing storage for a number of non-standard tools in a HF cart that I use most of the time at work. My solution was to buy a 3D printer and start learning to design and print my own holders.

    Chicago Electric Cordless

At work my cheapskate boss bought one of those 3/8" drills for removing panels on our aircraft. It works fairly well. I have all M12 stuff, and let helpers use that thing. But it does pretty well and its light. Have to charge it every day if its used. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

How does your Socket top drawer look ?

They looked custom, but I was hoping. I've got someone with a press brake and a plasma table, so I guess I should go measure mine out to build one. They look great man. I hate how other wrench holders are tilted. I dont take the holders out my box often so a smaller footprint is more important...

    Tekton US made Crowsfoot wrenches

Yeah I bought a cheap set years ago just to get by. I bought a Crescent branded set of 6 point flare nut wrenches a couple weeks ago. The regular crows feet dont fit for one of my common uses, or I would have added it to one of the two Tekton orders I made this month. Sent from my SM-G960U...

Modifications to the HF 4 and 5 drawer service carts - what changes have you made?

It's pretty thick. We did one thick coat. It's easy to touch up when needed. It doesn't keep well once opened, so when we get some we make sure we use it up fairly quickly. We touch up all of our planes and then maybe use it on thresholds, tool box tops or whatever. It's too expensive to waste...
