12x16 Wood Shed Build Time lapse

That's a very nice shed. Glad to see I'm not the only one to film shed construction. Below is a time lapse I made with an old cell phone and the LapseIt Pro app. The shed is a Tuff Shed my dad purchased. He was out of town when it was built so I recorded it. Build time was less than 2 hours even...

Whats a good Radial Arm Saw

That's why mine is one wheel and gets put out on the drive way or in the back yard when used. When I use it in the garage I end up getting saw dust everywhere and it's a pain to get it all picked up. I have a hard enough time with metal shavings and dust. Driveway and when you done, leaf blower.

Cutting Concrete - HF Angle Grinder?

I'm not sure about question 1. In regards to question 2. Nothing at HF is heavy duty, let alone their angle grinders. You can cut concrete with a concrete cutting wheel and that grinder but it'll take awhile, it might kill the grinder and if it doesn't it won't last much longer than your...

Whats a good Radial Arm Saw

My radial arm saw was given to me by a friend. It's basically one of the many you find on craigslist. It's a 10" Craftsman in 120V. It's got plenty of power for what I throw at it and is better built than anything you can buy now. The Craftsman ones were made by ETC (Emerson) and a bunch were...

    IR Impact Recomendation

Shop around for a 2135ti and call it good. I had many impacts before this one and I should have gotten this one first. I think I paid 200 NIB from ebay. I loved it so much I got the 2115ti as well. It's used for smalled things or for when I can't get the 2135 into a tight spot.

harbor freight propane bottle refill kit

If it's the MAC coupler, yes. I think it was $20 or. I've had it for a couple of years and use it all the time. I've got about 6 small bottles that I fill off of my 2 20# tanks. It's nice to have full canisters before a trip and not having to toss them in a land fill. I'm not sure if it fills...

    Air Tools

I say get an IR 231. It's priced well and plenty strong for most 1/2" work. If you have more to spend find an IR 2135 on sale somewhere. I have both and they are better than all the others I have owned. Aircats are good as well.

    Harbor Freight Air Saw

I have that saw and it works good. I don't use it a lot but mostly for plastics and hard to reach places. For thicker sheet metal I use the sawzall or jig saw. The blades for this saw at HF are $7.99 and they have 2 different TPI kinds. I don't have a picture of them but they look different than...

"Snap-On" hard handle retrofit mod on my favorite but cheap ratchets

So do you grind down the metal until it fits into the handle? Is it a press like fit? Any glue or other adhesive to lock it in there?

    I Won Another Auction

I'm in Sacramento as well but I don't need the ratchet. The UPS man brought me my FH80 yesterday. I have a couple of the quick release Craftsman ones but the 3/8, my most used size, is too short. The FH80 is nice, not totally have to sit down and reclaim yourself but its solid and nice to look...

    More tools on the way...

This is one reason I don't have the hanson trays. What I have works and as far as I can tell I have all the sockets I need for awhile.

    Die grinder corrosion?

Thanks for the input guys. I'll try to lube it up and see where it goes.

    Die grinder corrosion?

I've got a die grinder I use as a cut off wheel. It's not my only die grinder/cutoff wheel so it doesn't get used a lot. I went to use it the other day and had a few questions as a result. First thing I did was squirt a little oil down the air intake, plugged in some air and squeezed the...

    Compressor Feet

I see most on a pallet. I think bolting it to the floor would cause excess vibration and incresed noise. I've seen hockey pucks with a hole drilled in them, counter sunk a little and bolted to the feet.

    Sound Insulation for Compressor Closet

I'd be interested in seeing some intake mods as well. How far would be too far to extend it? I think in the OP'ers case insulation for the entire closet would make the biggest difference.

    Mac Anniversary Toolbox

Man that thing is bling. 2 side by side would be a nice combo. Not too tall or too big of a foot print.

Simple tools that work well for you

When I was a bicycle mechanic my most useful/simple tool was a short, small diameter #1 slotted screwdriver. It was always in my apron and useful on any bike from front to back. Problem with it was that the blade would eat through the pocket and I'd loose one every 3-4 months.
