    The best tire inflator ever?

Have you seen the ones from Longacre racing? They are very nice. I dont have the inflator/gauge but I do have one of the gauges. I have had the pleasure of using one of the inflators with gauge and it worked flawless. I am sure it was extremely expensive.

    PB Swiss Tools Review

Please do! I am very interested in what they are like. I need to basically replace the majority of what I have. Its extremely worn and I would like to keep them in a box that lives in my truck and get new ones for my shop. I think latter today/tonight I will put an order together for the drivers.

    PB Swiss Tools Review

Just read through this thread. There are some great photos here and I am eager to try out a set of these drivers. I was curious if any of you have tried the other products. I am in the market for a set of punches and saw they have some. With all of the information on the steel used in the...

I got some new gloves this weekend, anyone ever use Thicksters?

I have used these gloves with great success. I have the diamond grip ones also that are thinner. I tend to use the Thickster ones when I know its a dirty job all day and I will not be taking them on and off. If its a quick job then I go with the others. I only use the Mechanix gloves when I...

    Ingersoll rand IQv Cordless tools

I have the Snap on 1/2 and I do like it. I was really wondering if the alternatives are up to the same level. I even noticed that the brands like DeWalt and Milwaukee dont even bother making a 3/8 unit.

    Ingersoll rand IQv Cordless tools

Marlin, Thanks for the input. There arent many 3/8 options out there. I often work away from my air supply so these tools get alot of use. The 1/2 one I have is basically a go to tool now. I cant get through a day without grabbing. It. I am in the office now waiting for batteries! I am working...

    Ingersoll rand IQv Cordless tools

Has anyone tried these for an extended period of time? I have the Snap On 1/2 4850HO and love the tool. I wanted to add a 3/8 impact. I have been looking around and the Snap On is 400 basically. I came across the Matco version and its much less and appears good. I also came across the Ingersoll...

Need help with Asymmetric Or Symmetric lifts

The previous post is 100% accurate. The Asymetrical lifts are great for cars or vehicles that are also front heavy. They tend to leave more behind the lift posts than in front. I have a Mohawk asymetrical and I like it. I use it primarly for cars and they are in the 3000-3400lb range so its more...

Are any of these jack stands better than the others?

I have a set of these and they are great. I use them to work on my car when the lift is occupied. They go very very high compared to the old hein werner ones that I have. I am a big guy and I can get under the car without any issues and I am only 1/2 of the way through the adjustment range. If...

    picture of my MSC4

There is a Matco guy here on the site, Daveblank, I believe is the screen name. He may be able to tell you if you can add drawers to it. I like to have a little shelf on the bottom. I store some chemicals down there and I also keep an extension cord wrapped up down there. I may have solved the...

Are any of these jack stands better than the others?

I agree 100%. I would rather use the heaviest stands I could find no matter what brand they are.

I think that Matco did great with the cart its just too bad they dont offer a caster upgrade. I am not sure if yours has the 4 swivel casters or not. I think I would do away with that since I go out onto a concrete pad with my cart that is on a slope..it makes it nearly impossible to push in a...

Are any of these jack stands better than the others?

I thought when Shin Fu ( maybe spelled wrong) took over the Hein Warner name that the products were US made? Anyway, I would agree if picking from this list I would probably take the Hein Warner ones.

Nice cart, I have the same one in blue with the shelf also. I am very pleased with the cart so far. Its beat up now but it has saved my box from getting most of that abuse. I agree with you on the casters they are decent but I wish they rolled a bit smoother. I would like to either get new...

I purchased one of the 12/3 red cords. I received it in about 1 day from the time I paid for it. The cord and connectors are top notch. Its exactly whats pictured in the photos. These are the real deal top quality cords that you can trust in your shop. In the past I made my own but at this...

To those of you who have several ball-pein hammers....

I have an assortment of ball pein hammers in a drawer next to my vise. I tend to use the smaller ones when I am working with small punches or I just want to tap something and not damage it. When I am away from the bench my cart has a 32 deadblow ball pein and then a 24 oz Craftsman or Vaughn I...

Best way to bend a wrench (on purpose)?

This is also true. the raised panel is the perfect wrench to bend. Its readily available and its not going to break the bank. I would never bend one of my Snap On wrenches no matter how desperate I was.

Best way to bend a wrench (on purpose)?

This is how I have done it many times all without issues. The only difference being the hammer part I have just put a pipe over it and bent it slowly.
