agreed. I do the crafts with my 4yo once a month, provided we're local. Those events are free this one popped up on the signup page and I almost bit, till I saw $15. why anyone's spending $15 on it i don't know

Amazon Deals on New Retail Items - Post them!

FWIW on the rivet nut install tool -- I bought the SAE version from HF probably 20 years ago now (damn its been that long?). I don't know if they still carry that version the design is great for light hobby use. I've set a bunch of 1/4-20 steel inserts with it but they aluminum ones are WAY...

Amazon Deals on New Retail Items - Post them!

you got me. I've been casually using the SAE version I bought from HF for whats got to be 20 years now. Adding the metric one to the list is wroth it at that price recent learning: put some grease under the knob friction point or it will eventually start to gall and bind up when you try to back...

    Precision Instruments Dial Torque Wrenches

I actually ordered a couple of these at work because of the tight accuracy claims. Haven't had time to get them into the torque lab to verify but they came with cal certs so theoretically they're legit. Surprisingly cheap for the accuracy claims we were looking for their main website is legit...

    You Can't Trust Internet Reviews

I have 2 different model Ryobi cordless grinders. Neither has vibration that I notice any more than "yep there's a grinder spinning in my hand". I use mine with flap wheels, cut off wheels and grinding wheels and wire brushes too is it just with the roloc?

    Waste oil storage/tank

I like the idea, but I'm still with the guys saying "just drop off the bucket" how often are you changing the oil on more than 3 vehicles in a day/weekend? 3 6qt oil changes will fit in a bucket with room to spare. if floor space is the concern, stack the buckets. I'm assuming you're using ones...

    Hybrid-X Garage Floor Tiles

Got my order in Saturday, slapped some down last night. Super easy install and strong click lock design. Aaron was great to deal with, super responsive through Facebook. very happy I went with this product and supported a small US company vs the Vevor type tiles for the same price, plus these...

1/4" socket drive metric hex set

thanks for this. i may go this route (cheaper brand but same idea) with a $10 hex bit set. then I've got the multi-use potential if I need low clearance, I can use the little hex driver ratchet that sits in the drawer instead of the 1/4" setup

    The repurposing thread

15x20x1/2" cutting boards are $9 at Sams Club. I just used one for a fuel pump cover on my truck project might order a couple to have on hand for various other usage. Or just stick them in the kitchen, then use the rattiest one for the project when I find a need ResturauntSupply has some...

1/4" socket drive metric hex set

these looked pretty sweet, I just haven't figured out a way to justify the cost I'm ordering these next time I place an online order from HD. I'd like another size or two on the large side but not for the premium the other sets demand. Not when I have a full 3/8 set and some 1/2 as well already

Warning: Woodpeckers Semble Clamps can Ruin Woodwork

I appreciate the OP, even if others think he may be expecting too much I'd expect a high end woodworking product company to at a minimum add a line to the listing page saying there's a chance the pads may leech and use something between, and send out a quick heads up to purchasers. doesn't seem...
