    The OKnife U1 Utility Folder

I have a half dozen of those little oval gems around the house. Hard to explain, but.."hand feel" is a thing, and these have it.

Any James Hardie siding experts here?

I would just sand the putty they used smooth and spray some gray primer over it.

What do you do with your included assembly tools?

The medium/large phillips screwdriver that came with my concept 2 rower is one of my favorites.

Lifting Gambrel Trusses with limited equipment space

If the OP makes a couple sets of truss irons (out of wood), the wall guys can use them to space and brace. 2x4's nailed as far inboard as the wall guys can reach on both sides is sufficient to get them set. Back in the day we had a guy to ride the peaks and brace them as they got set, but not...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Pulled the bed off my son’s 14 f150 to do some rust mitigation before it gets out of control. My old 2005 still ran great but the rear frame got so bad it wasn’t safe anymore. This one’s gonna get power washed, POR-15’d, then fluid filmed with bed off. Bed supports are the first to go on...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

New brake pads on my Tundra. I like how the front calipers don't even have to come off, the pads can be loaded from the rear opening. Tried to determine the weird, sort of cyclic, very subtle vibration in the front end that only I can feel. Not tires, cant find anything loose, Feels like when...

Has anyone built a false floor in the garage?

Seems like the thin existing floor works in your favor. Easier to cut out, dig as deep as needed, pour a nice thick pad for the lift. Side drill in the existing pad for some rebar to join the edges. A wood framed floor will at least look bad, if not unsafe, if you overpour the existing floor...

Being prepared for the worst-case scenario...Someone breaking into your garage and robbing you blind

I have about 10 of those plastic cases handguns come in (mostly Glock, a few sig) sitting prominently on a shelf in my shop. Stones epoxied inside to give weight. Cheap padlocks holding them all closed. Hopefully anyone breaking in will gleefully grab them and run thinking they've hit the...

So I've been thinking of getting a car/truck lift in my garage....

My 10k Rotary came with a book illustrating the lift points for pretty much all vehicles by maker, from the 80's up til the year I got it. Updated information is available online.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

I too have a 14 and got the letter. How long did the reflash take? I dread going to my local ford dealer cuz I will have to be shown the cabin air filter with the ever present leaf on top and all the other **** they will tell me it needs immediately.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Shot primer on my 61 Willy’s half cab. Just the roof and back wall. Doors need significant skin grafts before I can think about them.
