New Garage build - 30 X 40 Pole Barn in NJ

Looks real nice. I had to go with a 4/12 pitch roof to get under my height restriction. You'll like your door configuration. Ive seen many with one large door on the short side, which makes it hard to get things in and out with moving **** around. I'm curious to see your roof idea, I need to...

I went with a pole build strictly based on price. 30 X 40 because of size restriction. Single roof to match my house. http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=207837

Project stalled out due to materials not being ordered by supply house. When the siding was delivered the soffits and some siding were missing. Some trim was also cut wrong. Supposed to be here by the end of next week.

Love the idea of using pallet racks as storage/work areas. Im doing a similar build right now and Im going to steal your rack idea for mine. Beats fabbing up a wood bench/shelving unit.

Grass ripped out, filled with agg and graded. Inspection tomorrow and hopefully concrete on Thursday. I talked to the construction guy and he told me they used an auger to do the holes. He laughed when I asked, they used the hole diggers to clean out the holes.

It was hotter than hell too, high 80s. I didnt hire Amish but they sure worked like Amish. Took one day and 3 guys to frame it out, dig holes and lay poles. Cement work starts on Tuesday. He wants to get the pad down before framing it and hanging trusses.

The spot where the building is going.. A crew of four guys dropped all the poles in yesterday. Apparently they dug out all the holes by hand with post hole diggers. Trusses arrived today.

200 bucks, and fill out the app on why I need what I want. They announce the request in the local paper, notify everyone within 300 feet, and have a vote after you make your case. My original plan was 40x35 with an attic. I was told it wouldnt pass the board. So I scaled it down to meet...
