I see the data sheet for Silax-Seal says, "This product is not suitable for use with any other sealer or epoxy." If one wanted to use an epoxy or other sealer in the future, what prep would be required/possible to prepare the surface?

I've been lurking for a while, reading and debating how to proceed on my garage floor. I have finally decided to put down some interlocking PVC tiles in the garage. The floor is a year and a half old with no serious stains, just tire marks, color changes where water from the car dries, etc...
