I noticed some surprising deformation on a wiha PH2 bit the other day, after just using it to run in some hardware store wood screws. I was using a drill driver and may have popped out a little, but I was surprised, nothing violent had happened.

Not sure, how can I tell? I took a few pictures of the jaws, attached. Both the pipe jaws and the main jaws are held on by screws. I also measure the handle. It’s 17mm in diameter and 25cm in length, so over 5/8” by about 10”.

I re-ordered the metric flex sockets, this time for store pickup (fairly nearby for me), and picked them up last night. Glad I did. Very nice set.

I'm no expert, but it seems like the mechanical advantage side of things goes out the window when you start hammering on the vise, and you're depending on the the screw maintaining friction with the nut despite the hammering.
