    Spotted this swivel base/ rear swivel jaw Rock Island today. Jaws are either 7 or 8”. I could not get any closer to inspect. The spreadsheet shows a model 56 as a 7”. This beauty is in the museum area at Mount Rushmore.

    My dad just picked up this nice Hollands 52H. Real good condition. 3 1/2” jaw, just under 3 3/4” opening. Missing 2 of 3 pipe jaws. I’ll post the weight in a bit.

    The early versions of the 18X were through the bench. The later typical swivel base models used 3 hole types (used in the Prentiss models ex. Prentiss 95). Correct, the 183 and 185 always used the wrought steel sideways channel (it actually has the manufactuers name on it. (I'll get it later)

    Good info guys thanks! Kenc184 that’s the same handle on mine. The measurement is the same minus the screw ends. One of my screws was missing and the handle is cracked a bit on one end.

    Kenc184 swivel handle for the RI 577 is 1/2” X 4 13/16”. It is threaded for 5/16-18 with a flathead screw on each end.
