PROTO MAC Snap-On make up most of mine but for specific reasons. Some brands offer different size ranged sets or physical dimensions are different like with super shallow chrome or thin wall deep impact for example.

I wasn't aware of a PROTO - MAC connection until reading things here recently but I am still not understanding the whole story on it. Is there shared manufacturing or something else? Thanks

LOL When you all are referencing MAC, is it specifically their top model 90? I was considering the 26" 1/2 flex. The Proto 1/2" precision 90 flex head is only 18" long. Although I'm learning to put the real torque on with a direct wreck rather than the ratchet so maybe super leverage isn't...

Well, I am talking specifically about situations where a 3/8 ratchet head even with a stubby won't fit over a bolt to get to the nut. Recently this was top of a strut mount with body shell just above and also a bizarrely tight access to a sway bar bushing clamp with similar body too close...

Aren't these tight clearance areas also perfect for a ratcheting box wrench? I have a set of the black Proto metric 6-36 and find they are perfect for so many tight spots as well as quick work of large hardware when you use another box on opposing bolt head.
