I think that extra 3/4" will make them stick out enough to get close to flush with everything. I may have to fur the windows out 1/4"-1/2" and flash around those "bucks"

Update - I have gone with Aluminum. Fiberglass was a close second and I will likely look at that material again. I sacrifice a little efficiency with Aluminum over vinyl, but I think the color will last longer and the windows themselves will look sleeker and more modern I think which is the look...

I haven't got a quote on aluminum clad wood. I know its considered one of the premium options. Probably worth a look as I'm only putting in 7. Picture frame style drops the price considerably across all the various materials.

Yes thermally-broken frame. Aluminum without a break might be around 0.50 and the old single pane versions without a break would be over 1.0 according to the internet. U factor runs from 0.20 to 1.20

I'm usually working solo, so was looking for an alternative that might be faster and not require getting the end of a tape perfectly affixed up in a corner. The string is a good idea and might not be terribly time consuming.

I'm trying to figure out if individual walls are square. I squared the chalk lines for the bottom plates up with 3,4,5 triangles.
