I used that same panel in my garage but only ran 90amps to it. It's a good panel.

Looking at buying house with detached garage w/no electric....how hard to run power?

Run 100a from house. It's only 25' and a 100a panel with lots of spaces is probably the same as a 60a. Now you've future proofed the garage for very little extra expense.

I've had my gas tankless plugged into a gfi for 5 years. I have never had an issue.

    Dirty power?

Lights at my sons house were dimming. He noticed they dimmed when his neighbors air conditioning started. He has a new panel and new wiring, so he called Edison. They responded with a technician in an hour or two. After some testing they added another transformer that just feeds him and three...

Outdoor Electrical Box - Is this correct?

Why be so stubborn? A small sub panel is about $70.00. Then you are done, correctly.

    I passed my electrical inspection!

I just passed inspection on a 200a panel. First inspection he checked all the grounds including to gas pipe. He wouldn't pass me until I stuccoed. I scheduled next day inspection for stucco and to look inside the box. He opened the panel to make sure I labeled everything but never looked at...

    New toolbox selection

I've had the US General from HF for about a year. Couldn't be happier. Lots of room, drawers work great fully loaded. Only problem is it's so heavy I had to pay to have it shipped. Wait for it to be on sale for $999. I also have 2 of their 44" boxes, also excellent.

Home Depot Husky vs HF General

I bolted two HF 44's together and put a 1" butcher block top on them. Great workbench and great storage. I left the castors on so I could move it if I need too.

Trying to unhoard the hoarder's hoard with the help of a horde.

I let Home Depot hoard all my junk. Just last week I got tired of looking at my pipe rack. Threw all the pipe in the trash then threw the pipe rack in the trash.

No power on one circuit. Out of ideas.

Read up on aluminum wiring or hire a pro, or both. It must be pigtailed to copper then the copper is terminated on the receptical. There are new devices out that work really well for this. Instead of using wire nuts you land the wires under small screws. They are called AlumiConn connectors.

Air Couplers: Looking for a good one

Prevost Safety Coupler. More expensive but well worth it. I use the truflate style, also called automotive style. They release with a push of the button.

    Tool Box suggestions

I didn't want a top box so I went with HF 72". I put a work bench on top and screwed it to the wall. If I need to move it I just take out 2 screws and it's portable again. Very happy with it.
