UPDATE: Well, the white areas came back to haunt me. The contractor came back, took all the original finish off and redid a new seal which he said would do the trick. He contacted Sherman-Williams and they said not to put the additive on for non-skid - this was a couple of months ago and so far...

The Sherwin Williams product worked - so far! The only thing the contractor should have done was to add non-skid additive. It seems okay but if it gets wet, may be a bit slippery. Was told to use a general household product to clean it but so far there is nothing to clean! Please DO NOT use CLR...

Just an update: I had the floor cleaned of all the white stains with denatured alcohol and then had Sherwin Williams Armorseal Rexthane applied. It is in the process of drying now and will keep the board posted with results.

Well - now it is worse than ever. Kept using the CLR and now it is larger and whiter. Assume I have to do 1/4 of the garage floor over. How is that done? Please give me some direction.

Slowly but surely the stains seems to be coming out. My next question is, if I were to have someone apply a top coat (although I do think I have one on there) what type and brand can you suggest?

So - I have tried CLR on a few small areas and it seems to be working but not quite 100%. I am using it STRAIGHT from the container. I know this might sound ridiculous but is there any other additive I can use along with the CLR at the same time to make it stronger? Thanks!

AHH - but the vinegar did not work. Tried it today and followed your instructions but made it a bit stronger. Scrubbed, rinsed and dried. Did not help. Any further ideas?

He said a clear coat was applied but what do you suggest I clean it with. I have tried several suggestions but am willing to try anything.

I don't know the name of the epoxy but I do know he was in touch for flooring experts.
