I never did get to see one first hand. I ended up going with the Rotary Low-Ceiling lift with a one foot extension. It just fits under my 11 foot ceilings and works great. Regards, John

That would be great to see some installation pictures. I have a heavy duty engine hoist (cherry picker). So, as someone suggested, I think if we can raise the columns as high as possible, standing them up shouldn't be too difficult.

I just finished a similar project, although new garage construction. The garage space is 24 ft x 40 ft with master suite above. For a clear span, the construction was 16" TJI's 16" on-center. And because the master suite walls were set in from the garage walls, four 1-3/4" microlams (per wall)...

Ampro Universal Lift I agree the ease of assembly and also the clean floor with no overhead bar or cables are nice features. But, I also know I can get a Rotary Lift (low ceiling version) for about $3600 so not a big difference considering the Rotary has a proven track record. Regards, John
