    What jackshaft garage door opener to get?

    I realize this thread is a bit old but it seems to be little more than a Liftmaster 8500 gripe session. No mention of other jackshaft makes models such as Chamberlain. So I'm giving it a pop to see if it can be rejuvenated. I'll also keep searching...
