I have the same air valve on my FM9SL and it has the same connections as yours. Maybe the valve itself is defective? Check with their tech support and request a free replacement if yours is still under warranty.

Excellent research, can't wait to copy your setup on my own FM9SL :) I had my hoses extended at the local Parker store and they also told me that their velocity fuses for this type application were $400 and up. The Vonbergs are certainly a lot more affordable.
