    Cornwell Tools Experience

I’ve got a similar scenario, only one of my coworkers has a running snap on account, everyone else is exclusively Cornwell, myself included. If I need Snap On, I’ll order it online.

    Cornwell Tools Experience

I’ve almost exclusively shopped the sales flyer and got some great deals. My dealer will even order me something from the flyer for the sale price... I can’t say the same about other trucks I’ve dealt with.

    Cornwell Tools Experience

My favorite thing about Cornwell is that their fliers actually have stuff on sale that I need, rather than just a bunch of specialty tools. My Snap On rep had a rare sale on the 8-19 Blue Point wrench set for $200, Cornwell had the same sized Blue power set on sale for $100.... and my blue power...

    Cornwell Tools Experience

That’s awesome Woody! I’ve searched and searched and never came across that thread before, thanks for sharing and putting that info together.

    Cornwell Tools Experience

This speaks more to the quality of Witte than Cornwell but the Wiite made mini hook and pick set is great. All of them still have the same shape as when I bought them when there is no reason they should lol.

    Cornwell Tools Experience

Hey guys, I know there’s a thread here and there, but not a ton about Cornwell tools. I just figured I’d post my experience for people like me trying to find info. I’ve got a Cornwell dealer that visits my shop every week and he’s awesome, and a Snap On guy that leaves a lot to be desired. In...

72 Tooth Taiwan vs 84 tooth Gearwrench ratchets

Thanks, I think I’ll order a 1/4 drive flex head and check it out since they don’t have a long 1/2 flex yet. Sent from my iPhone using The Garage Journal mobile app

72 Tooth Taiwan vs 84 tooth Gearwrench ratchets

Thanks for this, as I have zero hands on experience with the Milwaukee line. I’ll definitely look into them now. Sent from my iPhone using The Garage Journal mobile app

72 Tooth Taiwan vs 84 tooth Gearwrench ratchets

Thanks for the advice, I really hope Tekton does come out with a 1/2 drive long flex head. That’d make my decision easier for sure. As for the tool truck warranty on air tools, several guys have had to have Snap On impacts rebuilt for $100+ the month after warranty expires....

72 Tooth Taiwan vs 84 tooth Gearwrench ratchets

Thank you, and I already see what you mean about power tools. I’ve got a Dewalt impact driver and I dk what’d I’d do without it. Looking to add more of that kind of thing too. I know Milwaukee has an awesome line that can compete with the cordless Snap on stuff.

72 Tooth Taiwan vs 84 tooth Gearwrench ratchets

Unfortunately no Matco dealer for me. We get Snap On and Cornwell

72 Tooth Taiwan vs 84 tooth Gearwrench ratchets

The main negative to me about Gearwrench would be the difficulty to warranty, as Advance Auto that I bought my ratchet wrenches from requires a receipt (I wish I would’ve bought Tekton). But with cheap rebuild kits, it’s not a real issue. I like the idea of the 120xp, especially in 1/4 drive...

72 Tooth Taiwan vs 84 tooth Gearwrench ratchets

I’ve gotten a couple things from the tool trucks like a new air impact, but once I found the Tekton website and read about their warranty, I was sold. Do y’all think the Tekton design is a significant upgrade from the Taiwan 72 tooth design? I’ve used these Kobalt ratchets professionally for...

72 Tooth Taiwan vs 84 tooth Gearwrench ratchets

Thanks Mr. B, I was wondering about them. I’ve heard all about how great Tekton’s customer service is, and that’s actually where I’m buying all of my new hardline tools from, I’ve got like $650 worth of stuff in my cart lol. That’d make it easy to get everything from one place.

72 Tooth Taiwan vs 84 tooth Gearwrench ratchets

Thanks, that’s what I was hoping. I’ve looked at the 4 peice flex head sets in 84 and 120 and like them from what I’ve seen. I was also looking at the sealed head Williams but I’m afraid I’ve been spoiled by fine tooth ratchets.

72 Tooth Taiwan vs 84 tooth Gearwrench ratchets

Hey guys, this is my first post but I’ve been lurking for a while.... I apologize if this has been covered, but I’ve searched the site and haven’t found it. How do the 72 tooth Taiwan ratchets compare to Gearwrench 84? I’m moving from lube/tire tech to flat rate status and trying to upgrade...
