So after being gone for 8 months now I decided I should probably update the thread a little. Not a ton of work has been done to the garage since I undertook a rather large project in our backyard. The back side of our property had a pretty big slope that was starting to wash away pretty bad and...

Well after fixing last night's plumbing issue, I was able to move onto finishing up the wall. Getting the rest of the tin installed went pretty quick, the time consuming part was hanging all the signs etc...Luckily my 39 week pregnant wife helped me out with positioning and getting everything...

Well I started putting up the corrugated steel that a co-worker wanted out of his barn so a 30 pack of beer later it was now ready for its new home. I am only doing this one wall and it will be dedicated solely for signage. The reason being either my car or truck will be hugging that wall once...

Did a little bit of work using some extra trim that I removed from our house. We are replacing all the doors and all the trim in our house so I plan on using it in the shop. When it's all said and done I'll just need to paint it. Once I had the trim up it allowed me to get a couple boards on the...

Once I got to this stage it sat for a little over a month. With just moving into a new home and a new baby on the way I needed to work on a few projects before I could move any further on the garage. The main one was a new fence around the majority of the back yard. I decided to go with a split...

I'd say it's a couple factors, they do look better than the 4' fluorescents in my opinion, I'm not a fan of dealing with ballast when they go out and the final thing was there were black cords running all over the ceiling which doesn't work well with my OCD. I do find it much easier to change...

Once I got the room all torn apart I focused on the work bench area. At first I planned on reusing as much as I could but the more and more I looked at it and tried to get things to work I just decided to rip it out and start fresh. After everything was ripped out I hired in a crew to come...

So with myself deciding to make a career move, this meant moving from our first home to a new home and a new town. Fortunately, we lucked into this amazing property. My wife and I had been on the hunt for a small piece of land to build our dream home on and then eventually I would be able to...
