    Tekton tin snips

New to their lineup. I don't need any but at the price point I would probably try them if I did, https://www.tekton.com/cutting/aviation-snips

Looking for Reasonably Priced Good Quality LARGE Combo Wrenches - 1.5" and Larger...

I also see some sets on Amazon but they're most likely not very high quality. Maybe not suited to heavy equipment maintenance. https://www.amazon.com/Yunjeek-Combination-4-Piece-Open-End-Included/dp/B0H4WDPN7H/?tag=atomicindus08-20

    Proto Wrench Board

I have and frequently use that same set of metric combination wrenches. I enjoy using vintage wrenches. I also use NAPA by New Britain SAE combination wrenches.

    Ikon ratchets lack QR feature

I don't mind QR but I usually forget about it and try to remove the socket before I'm reminded it's a QR. I have many of each and don't really consider it until I'm frustrated by my own lack of memory.

NAPA NDM , How old is this set?

Those wrenches were rebranded by a lot of companies, it seems. Either that or they just look remarkably similar. Those look identical to a set of older Blackhawk I assembled. Just your basic combination wrench. I've never broke one or been disappointed with them.

    Milwaukee USA-Made Hand Tools (i.e. Pliers) ****

I have the USA made needle nose pliers and I like them a lot. To each their own, I guess.

Walmart Getting Serious About Tools in 2026?

I'll probably buy one of those 45" bars. Those are decent for the price.

Tools Made In Taiwan Vs. USA

Those combination wrenches remind me of some Wilmar wrenches that my wife inherited. Not really known for high quality but those wrenches were actually pretty nice. They ended up in the auction along with several truckloads of **** she was left to deal with.

    Lowes refusing to warranty Kobalt

I really dislike all the big box type retailers, but Lowe's just always seemed second rate to me. Putting Kobalt behind Craftsman was just another of their ignorant blunders, IMO. They are incredibly inconsistent.

We've got to get back to this type of quality

I have many more modern ratchets and won't argue that newer technologies have produced more efficient ratchetry. But I was raised on SK roundheads and have several in different drive sizes and handle configurations. I still use them but not exclusively. Nothing at all wrong with them if higher...

    Kobalt tapes

I hate self locking tape measures. I guess it's whatever you're used to.

    Knipex mini bolt cutters advice

I would. But I dislike comfort grips even with my arthritis. I followed the advice of other GJer's that recommended the notch. I'm pretty glad I did. I hate it when material wants to slide out of the opening.
