I do not know. My BendPak has the least obstructions with the cylinder side toward the engine and that is the way I have always setup the car on the lift.

Your welcome. I have another solution to accurately backing onto a scissor lift by yourself. I always back on because of my garage setup plus the fact the lowest and most vulnerable items under a car are usually in the front.
