These came in a stand up floor model and a short benchtop model like this. It was not cut down. They can also be mounted upside down and bolted to the ceiling! Just flip the head and table! My retirement lamp seems a bit oversized the more I look at it. I don't suppose you have one and a ruler...

Places like Shapeways can print objects in metal. But again... budget. I might upload the file just to see what it would cost. Get a quote. $$$

Lamp under way. Found a few good pics. Copied the curves. Used the distance between the prongs of an electrical plug in the pic as a size reference.

Thank you! I wanted a very clean look. Like it belonged in a fifties operating room or on a kitchen counter. It will not have a hard life here for sure. More of a show piece than a tool but fully functional. I really like how the white turned out!

Took a little work but worth the effort. I really enjoyed this. If anyone has measurements for a retirement light I hope to reproduce one soon.

End result will be a few weeks yet. I am having a very hard time finding measurements on the retirement lamp. Even basic things like the height and width. The thickness and width and length of the lug the arm attaches to also. I don't suppose you have one? Arm section lengths and hole sizes too...

Now to design and 3D print a copy of the "Retirement lamp" to fit the socket I ordered. I will use a cool running LED bulb. I won't be able to have a polished metal finish on the shade of course but I think it will look good and quite convincing painted.

Paint is done on the switch plate. I will let it finish drying for a day or two then assemble so it doesn't stick to the drill press which has new paint too.

Looks like it is the width of the base? Only has 7.5 inches from bit to post.
