Well this followed me home today🤦🏼****♂️ No more Craigslist! The guy told me it was 7.5hp single phase but when I showed up it ended up being 3 phase. But the price was right. So now I have 3 tanks, two 2475 pumps, and one 7.5hp single phase motor.

Thanks for the reply. Both my tanks are rated at 200psi. I’m glad to hear your happy with 1 pump and two tanks. Sounds like a sweet setup.

Thanks man and yes it is adjustable. I checked today and both tanks are 200psi. So I should be good to go.

Well I do/did. I recently had a 200 amp panel put in. My lathe and Bridgeport are 3 phase running off vfd. The next problem is I’m going through a divorce and will have to sell this house. So hopefully the next house is equipped or I guess I will be doing a panel upgrade Immediately.

Thanks I will check out your build. My buddy suggested plumbing the other tank in line as you said. I didn’t know if that would be over working that motor and pump. But if your doing it and having no problem, that’s what I will do.

Because I wanted that nice looking tank when done😂. I think that’s what I’m going to do. That way the motor bolts right up and I don’t have to make an adapter plate for the other tank. Just line up the sheaves and drill 4 holes for the pump.

That makes sense. That’s why I drive a Duramax 👍🏼

The Tool Tyrant, thanks for the comment. I was actually thinking about just mounting the motor with the 8” sheave it has on it and seeing what the compressor does. That’s one thing I never understood. They (ingersoll rand) suggest with a 5hp motor running pump at 1000 rpm’s but 1500 rpm’s...

So this motor just popped up and I might be able to buy it cheap. It’s off a Quincy compressor with a bad pump. From the pic I’ve seen it looks to have a 8-10” pulley on it. Does anyone know if my 11” pulley from my earlier post sounds crazy? Would that get me the correct rpms for the 2475 pump?

Thanks for the info. I have never really used a rpm calculator but this is what I’m getting for those rpm specs. Starting point. 13.5” large pulley, 6” small pulley, pulley centers (I would assume center to center of shaft) 13 5/16” Using a 5hp motor at 1725 rpm I would need a 8” motor...

Also the gas compressor id tag said 175psi max, Max cfm 24 and pump speed of 1500rpm
