I'm in aviation and always had a single big box like everyone else. One day I realized that I do 90% of my work using just 10% of my tools so I invested in a snap on krsc33 cart. Best purchase ever!!!! My vote is for keeping the mothership and getting two carts loaded with the heavily used...
When you work with smaller aircraft and crowded hangars smaller more maneuverable tool boxes are essential. I bought an epic a few years ago but it was land locked at the back of the shop so I traded it for a 1972 buick.
I had a 68" epiq also with the same popping sound as yours. If you read the warning placard on the side I think it says not to pull the unit with the casters locked.
Lightly used 2009 snap on epiq 68" wide with stainless steel power top. One owner. I bought it new for $11,400. Looking for around $5,000 or trade for smaller Mac, matco or snap on plus a little cash. If you have any questions just ask. Thanks!
my new Snap-on KRSC33 roll cart. Fabricated aluminum adapter plates so the screwdrivers wouldn't fall through the huge holes they put on the sides and an aluminum box for mirrors and flashlight.
