Yes, 2 nuts is the correct method. I have the original installation manual and that is the methos pictured. The cable side is the follower and the lock does not engage during normal operation. My lift suffered a cable failure 2 years ago while in use as an alignment rack with a vehicle...

9- 8' double tube T8 1- 8' single tube T8 120.33 lumens per sq foot. I converted my fixtures to T8 (new ballasts and bulbs) the effect was extremely dramatic...seemed like double the usable light, though that cannot be true.
