The days are getting shorter up here and the nights longer which means the outside must be finished shortly.

…Almost a roof!

…still we managed to put them up in one day! And with the supportframe in place we started work to get a roof over our heads.

We lifted the beams by ourselves with no help from machines but in hindsight it would have been A lot easier… :)

First day of construction. Each segment is 1,2m wide and 2,5m high. The sections are then risen one by one and joined together supported by strands. This was quite a fast section to do actually since er measured and prepared everything in advance.

The original plans for the garage. It has since been altered and the roof and its angle increased to create a upstairs storage area.

Thank you, I actually got it for my birthday from my soon to be wife. It is constructed from 6mm hardened and heattreated metal and I fabricated a safeguard under it so it would not ignite the deck.

…but I think it turned out quite nice and the missus likes it a lot so that gave me Somme time to start the most important project of all, the garage!

And so came spring but unfortunatly for me I had to attend to somerhing else than the garage in order to keep the peace, the yard and the patio. Needless to say it quickly turned out to be a huge project…1000sqft to be precise!

During winter’s dying days we took care of the upstair floor. (The main floor is complete and-/or assembled by the contractors, but the upstairs are up to us to fix.)

We poured the garagefoundation after the house was assembled.
