I have the same one. Tag says Dayton Grinder, is 3/4hp 8". My tag is too worn to make out any other information, and I am also trying to identify the model number on mine.

Seeking some knowledge / experience. A seller near me is selling an old South Bend metal lathe, unsure on precise model. Seller claims it's a 1927 mfg., about 6' long with 14" swing with 3 phase 220 motor... Says it needs new compound nuts for the cross feed. Asking $500. The price strikes...

Thanks for the offer, I think I'll stick with the one it has on it, seems to run well, just needed to figure out what it was for wiring and restoration purposes.

Was planning on keeping it, it runs fine, just needs some elbow grease. I was just trying to find out what the specs were and if it could be wired to run off 220.
