I got the valve plate and all gaskets. I also got everything else to rebuild it but and going to just replace the valve plate first see if that fixes the issues.

The head and everything is in good shape little discolor from heat but good otherwise. Just have to check the bearings and piston rings

Who really knows. I’m going to pull it completely apart and check everything else out. Even if I need pistons and such it’s going to be a good deal for a compressor

Not sure where most of it went. Found a small piece on top but haven’t pulled the rest out yet. Cylinder walls are clean so think it went out elsewhere

Yeah its a mess, Gonna get it all cleaned up and redone. Hopefully then have a good compressor

Yeah it was definitely abused. I actually got the parts directly from Dewalt for cheaper so if this rebuild takes care of my issues, which i think it will, Ill have less than $350 into the compressor.

It was the check that goes into the tank. You can hear the air when you first shut the compressor down.

What’s a good material to make the head gasket from? I have some cheap gasket material but it’s not heat rated. Exhaust gasket material? Think I may pull the head in the next couple Days when o get free time.

Peak pressure around 155. Model dewalt dxcm601 belt is tight as just replaced with the flywheel. It has been holding pressure. Has new check valve.

Don’t think so. I’m going to try and check again with soapy water. Need to figure a way to block the air from the flywheel going over the pump. Any other tips to check this?
