Thumb-screw style adjustable wrenches… maybe just me but their best use is busted knuckles and rounded bolts

Another vote for soldering tool; I have a few that came in sets over the years but I don’t guess I’ve ever really used them.

Maybe just me but an impact driver is for speed, or running in/out a bunch of fasteners (or the older I get, basically a screwdriver substitute). Impact WRENCH comes out for anything that needs more torque than a typical screwdriver.

I don’t know if that’s for home/personal use or in a healthcare facility but I’d be nervous about even obviously good/adequate fixes due to potential liability. If I wasn’t concerned the post above nailed it - any of several types of hose barbs would probably do, especially if it’s not high...

That tracks - Grandpa had loads of good ol’ Craftsman stuff. It’s a good case for me anyway, don’t do tons of router work and I don’t have a lot of really fancy bits.

I inherited this little case from my grandfather. Brown plastic with a faux wood grain but no markings or logo anywhere that I can see. The bottom lifts out and there is space beneath for a couple of other small bits, I keep new unwrapped ones there.

I still use corded stuff for high amp tools like circ saws and grinders, but I’m just a DIY/home gamer so I’m usually not too far away from power.

Another vote for the VIAIR here, been really happy with mine. They recommend running the engine while using it though. Edit - I have the alligator clip version (88 maybe?) that is rated a little higher than the lighter plug ones; I don’t think the same “run engine” advice applies to them...

I have some DeWalt that are similar, but open end on one side instead of double box.

I just made my own set out of #5 rebar. J/K - I did not do that. I have a set from Mac but as others have said it’s a fairly simple device so probably a lot of suitable options.
