Need help with vintage Craftsman 3/4 motor and an unknown joiner

Thanks for the reply, I've seen a lot of old motors (and new) but never thought about not seeing a capacitor, so it's interesting to learn about, currently its wired for 110 but I am unable to verify the wire colors. I believe I am going to pull these apart and restore them for my personal use...

RTM, that is it thank you, I searched on here and google including pictures with zero luck. sometimes simpler is better and I should have shortened the part number. Thank you I remembered something in the back of my mind that this was used a long time ago, appreciate the catalog link. I

Need help with vintage Craftsman 3/4 motor and an unknown joiner

Curzan80 thank you, this is something I am not familiar with, just thought it looked cool. I will take a look for the mark for forward / reverse. Not sure it is wired correctly, wires at the splice are all dark and cannot determine the color, I will try to clean them when I get a chance, or I...

Need help with vintage Craftsman 3/4 motor and an unknown joiner

I'm hoping someone can help me with a motor Craftsman 3/4H.P. Cat No 5624, 110/220v single shaft, and a vintage Joiner (unknown brand) on an old homemade table I recently acquired. The motor hums when I plug it in, runs fine if I hand spin and then plug it in (with a load or without). Removed...

    Baldor motor with Grease fittings?

One more thought, I recently had a Baldor L1410t motor apart, both bearings were sealed and there was still factory grease pumped in from the grease fittings. The shop this came out of did not add it because they had no idea what preventative maintenance was. unfortunately, the motor had melted...

    Baldor motor swap

Potentially for cost, a single phase 5hp motor new $1200 used $400-600 (yes there are deals). 5hp 3phase, NOS can be found for $250 used commonly go for $100-$250 and a new VFT is $150-$250.

    Baldor motor swap

Not sure what you mean by "Phony" 3 phase, I have seen many comments by people that they had success with the VFD.

    Baldor motor swap

Timgunn1962 Thank you for the reply, I had a feeling it would work but wanted a second opinion before I spent the money. It would be indoor use only, I would not be against a 3ph VFD but would be lost if it needed to be tweaked. Thanks again Greg

    Baldor motor swap

I was hoping someone with more knowledge than me would chime in. I recently purchased a 2019 Cutis FS 80-gallon compressor with all the bells and whistles for $225 from a body shop. I believe the case breather became plugged from dirt, this forced oil past the rings and blocked one of the stage...
