i don't know how dedicated you are to your LBS, but specialized seems to have the full run in stock online. I also have the previous crux but since it doubles as my road bike i'm not sure i'm ready to give up 2by. Edit: just realized they're listed as preorder

in my minnesota experience any rust free time after 10years is a bonus. we had very similar rust repaired a few years ago but that shop looks to have closed down. maybe proof that all the money is in insurance claims these days

love the experiment! I am really curious how the 32 mtbs will handle, especially with the long wheelbases. i was a somewhat early 29er adopter with a 2007 gary fisher and i hated it so much i went back to 26 for the next 10 years.

Check with your hauler to see if they take extra boxes. Mine will take any flattened boxes next to the bin, so i was able to get rid of our sactional boxes all in one go.

Wow, this really brought me back! When i worked in a shop 20ish years ago the owner would make us start again if the hub logo wasn't perfectly aligned with the valve hole. Nice work!

Thank you for the link! I had searched for something similar, but could only find adapters with male schrader threads. The prestacycle chuck is actually what I have, so nice to hear a positive professional endorsement. Cheers!

Mind if I pick your brain on how you use the silca presta valve chuck with this set up? I have an analog gauge milton inflator and i currently use what is a supposed to be a lock on schrader chuck to hold the threads of the presta chuck but it always leaks. Just like an infomercial, I keep...

Your build is coming together nicely. I think your high windows are a great idea both for controlling the sunlight and for keeping that wall as usable. My windows are too low in my new space and have made wall storage difficult to plan

The bike turned out great! MN's first cx race was last night- I saw a lot of crashes and one fist fight. I might have missed this, but are you coming up for SSCXWC?
