Update : so I have decided to run a lift pole and the weatherhead/mast and meter will be on that pole. Then it will go underground to the garage (only about 8’ away from where we will set the pole). I decided I didn’t want to have to attach it to the garage and have to penetrate to roof for it...

For the inside breaker box, or for the weatherhead mast? Between the legs? The spacing is 5’. Or could a 6” piece of unistrut be screwed into the siding on a single leg, and the mast be attached to that with some sort of a clamp?
