I have both digital and vernier. I resort to Vernier when batteries die on digital and I can't wait to get replacements. But, OP's requirement was no batteries, so vernier is an option for him.

I restored a 150 a few months ago, and the gasket was broken. I had bought a box of O-rings at Harbor Freight years ago (not sure if they still have). I just used one of these that fit, works great. Note: it's an O not flat, but still worked fine

I think I used Super Clean, but I'd imagine the parts cleaner solvent you have should work fine.

FrankLee is correct. I just restored one of the motors a few days ago. The bearings were open with an inner race. I just dunked them in a degreaser for a day or two, took them out, cleaned off the degreaser, repacked and they were fine.
