I had the same problem. It was the the pivot piece at the top where the pad is. I removed the 2 E clips that hold the black support bars on each side, then sprayed wd40 on the pivot piece and rocked it back and forth with a prybar until I could move it by hand. It doesn't have a grease fitting...
