There is a screw in the under side of the unloader valve. Can that be adjusted for pressure? If so, which direction decreases air pressure?

Maybe someone could help. Old Craftsman air compressor. Comes up to pressure, but won't shut off. Keep blowing the pressure release. Tried changing the release valve, didn't work. Tried the adjustment knob on the front that does't see to make any difference in the pressure. Is there an...
