Fresh bits in the mail today along with some extractors. Now I can finally test if a speed handle is faster than a drill for removing inspection panels. Shape wise these bits are very similar to the apex bits I was looking at, but these were ~3cad less per.

Introducing New Flarenut Crowfoot Sets & 12-point Nano Sockets

will the 12pt stuff come in sae flavour eventually? Aircraft guys could make good use of those

    Reorganizing your drawers...

I shuffle when I purchase larger sets or when I cull tools. Core layouts tend to stick around while new tools go through a few trial locations based on use case and frequency of need before finding a semi permanent spot. Of course the whole song and dance is replayed when new tools inevitably...

Speed Handles --- What They Good For?

Got me beat for intricacy for sure, looks a lot cleaner than the metroliners I'm used to working on. Plenty of clamps to keep everything in place, are they mostly going into nut plates?

Speed Handles --- What They Good For?

I'm no stranger to tight spaces on our planes, I have a hard time visualizing how a speed handle gets around that constraint. I'll take a closer look at common adel clamp locations next rotation, generally I find them a pain regardless of tool I have in my hand. Maybe I'll just have to try one...

Speed Handles --- What They Good For?

I've seen a&p guys talk about how they use these for stuck panel screws, my coworker used on exclusively for the task (stuck screws or not) and I wasn't convinced he was any faster. Do you see use for them anywhere else on the aircraft you work on? Does drive size matter much?

It was snapon day today, lock wire pliers on warranty (finally) and a replacement set of deep reach side cutters that I misplaced in the boneyard

    Let's see your toolbox.

Properly bolted on my side cabinet yesterday and made a proper top for the whole thing. Would definitely make a few changes if I had to do this again but for now I'm fairly satisfied

    Show your "Mini" Tool Box.

I bought one, not sure why but I did anyway. Mastercraft flavor (Canadian Tire brand) in off white. Don't have a bunch of ideas for it use wise but I already want proper slides, a catch to keep the lid up without folding all the way over, and some feet. Undecided if it will get blessed with...

Some highly recommended test leads, a back probe set and piercing hooks. ¼" drive koken 12pt nut grips. Took the long way around with shipping but that's sometimes how it is when you live in the sticks.

    Let's see your toolbox.

New side cab for me today, moved a little 2 drawer flip top to crash box duty and now I have working room and clearance under airplanes. The installation for these kinda *****, might bolt them flush together later down the line

Not many sources for them in North America, a lot more via proxy services across the pond for sure

2 for 1 mail day for me yesterday, my ohcanada supply and buyee packages came in. I was intrigued by the recent T handle thread so I figured I'd try a few from across the pond. While I was shopping I grabbed two sets of deen angle adapters in ¼ and ⅜, not sure when they'll be handy but they...

Following up on this as I got to talk to my rep yesterday. The supplier (wilbur?) of the pliers for snapon has folded, so my rep is unable to provide warranty. However, when a replacement is found warranty will be reopened. As it stands this is ok for me, the stahlwille set currently beats out...

I'll contact corporate when my set truly fails (or the new set way out-competes), but I will suggest it to my coworkers. I did hear that the person supplying snapon(bluepoint) has passed away and that no new stock was coming, though the info was 3rd hand. Looks like I would get credit if they...

At least 3 of my coworkers who have tried to warranty through our rep have been told no dice. I don't think anyone has gone to corporate yet

Not as far as I'm aware. It was explained to me as warranty is for the life of the tool, and now that the tool is discontinued/end of life there is no more warranty.
