I try to go with the rule of temporary can become almost permanent and every time I save ten dollars it seems to cost me a hundred later or I am unhappy when I have to live with what I have and it is not right .

    Pre-built Single Garages

If I was to build a 14x28 I would consider one with the barn type hip roof. I sure wish I had thought of it before I built my paintshop. All that space in the loft and I find them visualy nice. You can add a implemt storing type roof on one side and it looks good also. Hugh

On running air lines in the shop if can run the line the longest way around the shop to your user piont. If you can have the line full circle that is also better. Running air line to semi-detached garage....

You should run a minimum of three quarter inch diameter copper pipe. That is so you can use HVLP equipment. The line should run up and across to the shop. You should have the line so that it is sloped back to the compressor and a drain valve for water where your flex hose is to the comressor...

    Garage walls

Drywall for fire protection and finish it and paint it and when it looks good you will be a little more carefull. It is totaly unreal as to the amout of light difference after the shop is painted. Painting before you move in Is the least spent and best spent cash in a shop.

    Kerosene vs propane torpedo htr

For a shop of your size I would get a oil over electric heater and plug it in. They look like the old hot water radiant heaters. A lot of woodworking fellows use them as they are safe from fire and explosion.

It would be better with nine foot wide doors and be able to drive straight in. Trailers are 8.6 feet wide. You only have sixteen feet long of usable with walls and bench. With the AC you do not want to add moisture inside the building. You should have good roof vents to create good air flow...

    Propane Tanks in Garage

If your garage is all closed up and you light a fire it will consume the oxygen so you must have a way of fresh air to come in to replace the oxygen. Open flame radiant heaters on propane tanks cousume a fair bit of oxygen in an enclosed enviroment.

    Wood pellet stove?

Any stove that takes the combustion air from the shop is just waiting to go bang. Any heater that draws air through and blows out warm air realy makes for dust and dirt to get in to everywhere including your lungs not to metion the fact that any solvent fumes or dust can be ignited. For shops...
