Thanks for your input! Pretty much answers my concerns.

OK, motor crapped out, mea culpa. New motor seems unavailable. Looking at a couple used ones locally on MarketPlace. The motor has a "cradle mount" but I found a 1.5 hp Vevor for about $130 but it doesn't have the cradle mount. Will it work? Is it safe? Saw is used infrequently. Thanks.
