I'm wondering about this shorter reach also. What was your final decision? Does anyone have experience lifting large vehicles as well as narrow ones with the xpr-10a-lp in the wide configuration.

I would like to use 3/4" azek trim, so i guess i will use 1 pressure treated spaced out 3/4" which will give me 10' exactly.

so I have 10'6'' between the concrete for a 10' garage door. do I frame 2 jack studs on each side and then put 3/4" trim so the opening will now be 9'10-1/2". or do i put 1 jack stud and shim the trim, so opening is exactly 10' thanks, Mike
