    The Everything 3D Printer Thread

Well that complicates my first printer purchase. I liked the idea of Prusa much more than Bambu or Qidi, etc, but was worried about their lagging feature set. I wish the kit was available for purchase.

    Shop vac filter tip!

I've had excellent results using a combo of the above mentioned Gore filter and a pre-filter from Outerwears. Keeps the bulky stuff out of the filter. https://outerwears.com/products.asp?cat=12929

    School me on Welding Helmets

Disclaimer: hobbyist at best, hack most days. I have the Esab Sentinel Helmet that's in the OP, I bought it with my Rebel EM215ic due to a discount, and wanting to cry once. I've used other ones over the years, (mostly at work) including a couple of cheap ones that would eventually fail at...

    Wood top bench build

Highly doubt it. 1/4" thick, doubled'up side plates with welded construction will be significantly more rigid than those bolt together, 16 gauge stamped steel precursor to ikea workbenches. Even more so if the doubled up sides were even partially boxed.

Need to build new ATV trailer for firewood

Nice, I'm about to start my own build on one. I'm just going with a single axle for simplicities sake, I wan't to go with walking beam, just didn't want to have the extra cost.

    Making a rain barrel stand.

So the big takeaway that I noticed from the OP's last post, was that his house water spigot was going to be located under the "stand", as in, a human may at some point, for some reason, place it's body underneath the vats of water to turn on the hose. And at no point will this human bump or...

monster old quincy compressor, who can ID this thing?

In picture 2 the nameplate looks like its still on the cover just below the oil fill and dipstick. The model and ROC should be stamped into it. might need a through cleaning by the looks of it.

    snap-on torque glasses?

Those are actually a good price, Grilamid is an excellent material, many sunglasses that cost much more are made of it. Polarized lenses, made in the USA, what's not to like? How many of the cheap ones feature any of that?

    The VISES of Garage Journal

I went back and looked, made it all the way through June before I had a patience deficiency. :eyecrazy: I'm going to continue working on it once winter sets in, its not done well enough for my liking.

Here, I'll just attach them for now, I checked out postimage, the UI is a pain compared to Imgur.

    The VISES of Garage Journal

I used imgur, and have them embedded, they show up for me, so that's odd. I'll take a look at postimg.org and get them up.

    The VISES of Garage Journal

Well, I've lurked here for a while now, so I guess I'll join the party. I have a few vises in progress right now, with a distinct lack of places to mount them. And I'll apologize up front for the lack of progress pics, most of these will be before and after. So the first one that I started...

    Quincy 240 info

I'm rebuilding a 240-10 right now, you can get the manuals and rebuild instructions from Quincy's website. And if you contact them they should be able to tell you the age by the serial number. The copper tube from the unloaders runs to valve on the oil pump, then to the receiver, IIRC. They...
