Mine are at 52 on center, works good for me. I also have some installed at the top of walls in case I wanted to mount fans or whatever up high.

hidollartoys - I bought mine through www.kitfoam.com. I used 4 of the 600 kits. I also purchased the protective gear and 2 of the 30 ft hose kits. Really simple to use once you get the hang of how much to spray at one time. They have 200 kits for smaller jobs. I was happy with it.
