Toptul Delivery courtesy of Mike Wren

Talked to him on the phone the other day and he was nice enough. Says he is getting ready to get another order in the works from the manuf. As a partner in a startup, I completely sympathize with wanting to control your out of pocket costs. That being said, the webpage was frustrating to use...

    What's your opinion on Cornwell?

I happen to own quite a bit of Cornwell metal. I started with them in the mid eighties in South Carolina and had a great dealer. Jack was friendly and always willing to work with you when you needed something but didnt have the cash. That relationship went a long way with me; I still buy from...

    KD Tools COO?

I ordered a set of KD wrenches a while ago and I got GearWrench instead. IIRC the box said the coo was china, but I could be wrong. They aren't stamped on the wrench anywhere. MB

FREE!!!!! RockSolid Floors Polyurea Gray Kit's

Here are the photos of the workshop I completed last weekend. I was surprised to see the color of this side a little more blue than that of the other are I coated. However, I like it just as well. Before the floor was cleaned and etched: Another from a different angle: One final shot at...

FREE!!!!! RockSolid Floors Polyurea Gray Kit's

JTP- it is a polyurea. I taught my spell check the word polyaspartic and not polyurea. I must have left polyaspartic in the posts. Sorry for the confusion. Temps for my application were in the 50-60 degree ambient range, and I think the slab temp was lower than that. I think it would be ok...

FREE!!!!! RockSolid Floors Polyurea Gray Kit's

A couple of after-the-fact tips: Use the roller head they give you. In fact, get two or three from them. I couldn't find them locally and used a foam roller head from a box store. What a joke it was. Went through three generics in a space half the size of the original that took one roller...

Here is part three, the info that Citadel wanted in the survey. Again, guys if you're doing one of these installations, send them your honest opinions, not mine. I'm putting this out there for all the guys who didn't see the surveys. Here are the survey details: 1. Temperature at time of...

FREE!!!!! RockSolid Floors Polyurea Gray Kit's

Part two of the installation. Now the "glamour shots." The polyurea was really thick and took some time to get spread out. May have had something to do with the temp at time of application, which was at the low end of Citadel's recommendations (40 or so outside, 65 inside with heat. I'm sure...

FREE!!!!! RockSolid Floors Polyurea Gray Kit's

OK guys, as promised here are the photos of the RockSolid installation from last week. I want to point out that at the end, I told the folks at Citadel that I was going to post my responses to their survey, which was part of the free trial at their request in order to improve the product. I am...

FREE!!!!! RockSolid Floors Polyurea Gray Kit's

I'll post the photos this weekend along with my survey responses to Rock Solid. I thought the product has really, really heavy viscosity, and it takes a while to get it worked out to the right coverage. But the advantage I saw to the viscosity was the flow. It seemed to flow out forever while...

I did not and I was sure to ask the guys about the gloss factor. I am sure the clear coat adds some durability, but I am pleased with the appearance without it. MB

FREE!!!!! RockSolid Floors Polyurea Gray Kit's

Hey guys I'll be posting photos of our Rock Solid project this coming weekend along with my impression of the product. So far I've got to say I am impressed with it. I will also say that Adam and Bruce have been quick to answer every question I have had with this stuff, which is pretty...

Best iPad apps for tool guys?

I use Gas Cubby on the iPhone, but it is compatible with the iPad. Nice MPG calculations, maintenance reminders, maintenance expenditure calculations, etc. Nice to see your historical mileage, esp. with a diesel and see the difference with seasonal blended fuel. MB

    1 Day/$80 Garage Remodel

daviddear30 You have the VQ35 engine in that FX which is the same one I have in my wife's 2003 Murano. At 135,000 miles I thought the oil pan gasket was weeping on hers too, but it turns out it was the gasket behind the oil filter pad. That little gremlin is also an oil cooler that is attached...
